Steve Barr – Site Superintendent

Steve Barr joined our crew after earning a degree in Building Technology, with an emphasis in carpentry.

His favorite part of the program was access to a wood shop where they could use their imagination to create projects both for class work and for personal projects. This is where the passion of woodworking took root. Steve was drawn to join our team because of the countless unique building situations that we encounter on every job. He learns something new on every project due to the unique custom designs. His favorite aspects of the job are the finishing details, such as trim, decorative rafter tails, hobbit doors, eyebrow dormers, and working with complex geometric shapes & angles.

When not building treehouses with us, Steve enjoys going to live comedy and music shows with friends, going camping or “off-gridding,” and making personal furniture projects like he did back in trade school.

Steve’s Favorite Tree Top Builders treehouse build was a barn themed rental project in Arkansas from several years ago. It was the first rental project he was involved in, the first gambrel roof he framed, first natural stick railing, and he loves learning new things and trying new things.
