Dylan White – Site Superintendent
Treehouse Building Site Guru!
Dylan has a built in nature to love the outdoors, so being able to work outside and constantly be in nature is right up his alley. He also wanted to find a small company with a strong family vibe to it, instead of getting stuck in a corporate machine cranking out cookie cutter houses. “Tree Top Builders feels more like a family than a job,” he says. He also is passionate about learning new skills, such as climbing. He really took a liking to learning the ropes, so to speak. He has learned new climbing techniques from friends in the challenge course industry and brought them back to us to help the rest of us work more efficiently when high in the air.
Every new treehouse build is a surprise. Some high, some low. Some big, some small. Unique details separate each build, even when there are similar elements. The traveling is a plus for Dylan, as he likes to meet new people, and he checks out the hiking trails in every part of the country we travel to.
When not working, he’s loving life with his girlfriend, his fishing rod, or his dog Leila… aka “bad girl.” He squeezes in a camping trip or just a few quick casts everywhere he goes.
Dylan’s favorite treehouse is a large platform with a bridge and second platform in New York. It was his first treehouse project he built that was high in the air, between 20’ and 35’ above ground, and he got to learn how to set up rigging and work with large beams and tribeams in a set of towering white pines.
